Mr. Miyamoto is coming to NYC

It’s another Nintendogs weekend in NYC. Mr. Shigeru Miyamoto (you know the creator of Mario, Zelda, Pikmin and the man responsible for much Nintendo goodness) will be making two appearances this weekend at two events to promote his latest creation, Nintendogs. Oh, and he’ll be bringing along his pup for a lucky few fans to play with.

Nintendogs Doggy Fashion Show

The ASPCA and Nintendo will be sponsoring a fashion show where dogs that are up for adoption will be walking the catwalk wearing the designer fashions of Little Lily, clothier to Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and the Duff sisters’ dogs.

Mr. Miyamoto is expected to make an appearance at the event which will also have Nintendogs gaming stations and for those who set their DS to bark mode, a special gift from a special little friend.

Nintendo World Store

Following the Nintendogs Doggy Fashion Show on Satruday, Mr. Miyamoto will be on hand at the Nintendo World Store to meet fans, sign autographs, and play a little Nintendogs with a select few.

The first 200 people in line will be guaranteed an autograph from Shigeru Miyamoto. The first 10 people in line will have the chance to have their puppies meet Mr. Miyamoto’s for a bark session. Start setting up your tent now. From what I hear, there will likely be a few fans gathering around the light of their DSs in the “dark” of Rockefeller Plaza the night before for the rare chance to meet and play a game with Mr. Miyamoto. There will also be a host of giveaways including limited-edition Nintendo DS skins with Mr. Miyamoto’s signature.
